Annie B. “Lucia” Lewis Taylor passed away at her home in Hobbs, NM on March 4, 2021. She was born June 11, 1933 in Lowndes County, MS to Glover Wilken Lewis and Mary Ella Lewis. She moved to Hobbs in 1967 and was a Pink Lady at Lea Regional Hospital for almost 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Henry L. Taylor, Sr; two sons, Matthew Mark Taylor, and Jeffery Taylor Sr.; three brothers, Fessor R. Lewis, Sr., Willie J, Lewis, Sr., and J.C. Lewis; five sisters, Lula Mae Wells, Ella Sanders, Fannie Richardson, Rosie Thompson, and Gloria Overton.
She is survived by one brother, Joseph Lewis, Sr. of Blytheville, Arkansas; four daughters, Bettie Gipson (Winford) and Mamie Taylor of Hobbs, Daisy Taylor of Houston, TX, and Annie Taylor Dunn of San Antonio, TX; four sons, Henry L. “Hank” Taylor, Jr of Mission, TX, Johnny Taylor and Vince Taylor of Hobbs, and Dennis Taylor of Phoenix, AZ; also 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 1 great- great- grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
