Anita Stogner

Memorial services for Anita Stogner, 85, of Hobbs, will be Saturday, April 2, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope with Pastor Dave Small officiating. Cremation will take place.

Anita died March 30, 2011, at Lea Regional Hospital. She was born Mary 18, 1925, in Orr, OK, to Euless and Edith Williams. After her mother died, she went to the Whitaker State Orphans Home in Pryor, OK, with four younger siblings. February 11, 1944, she married Douglas Stogner.

Anita was a member of the Eastern Star and Highland Christian Church. She was a loving mother and wife and enjoyed reading, sewing, and was known for her baking.

She is survived by her husband, Doug Stogner of Hobbs two sons, Lynn Stogner of Hobbs and Michael Stogner and wife Linda, of Estancia, NM daughter, Starla Talavera of Austin, TX three grandsons, Michael and Noah Talavera and Tracy Stogner greatgranddaughter Summer Stogner and sister, Paula Conley of Tulsa, OK.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Marselle Williams and two brothers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Baptist Childrens Home, 2220 S. Avenue I, Portales, NM 88130.
