Angelo Spinazzola

A funeral mass for Dr. Angelo Joseph Spinazzola will be Friday, March 2, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church with Fr. Juan Carlos Ramirez presiding. A Rosary service will be held 6:00 p.m. March 1 at Chapel of Hope. Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 4 8 p.m. at Chapel of Hope.

Angelo was born March 20, 1931, in Blue Island, Illinois, to Michael and Marietta Spinazzola. He died February 27, 2012, at his home in Hobbs. Angelo married Betty Lipine on June 18, 1955, in Chicago, IL. He earned the following designations: B.A., B.S., M.S., M.D., F.A.C.S., F.C.C.P. and F.I.C.S. and was a US Air Force Captain, Flight Surgeon General Medical Officer. He was honored by being a past president of Illinois Thorasic Surgical Society, Chief of Staff at Lea Regional Hospital and Chief of Surgery, Lea Regional Hospital.

Surviving Angelo is his wife, Betty Spinazzola children, Victoria, and husband Ray, Eric, Catherine, and Lisa, and husband Bart and grandchildren, Ramsay, AJ, Erica and Hunter.
