Amalia Limas was born in Camargo, Chihuahua, Mexico on July 10, 1940 to Guadalupe Covarrubias and Andrea Avila. She had 3 brothers and 1 sister. She grew up in Camargo, Chihuahua where she met the love of her life Ursulo Limas and soon after married in July of 1955. Together they had 9 children; Guadalupe Limas of Eunice, NM, Rosa and Ricardo Mora of Hatch, NM, Jose and Socorro Limas of Eunice, NM, Yolanda and Enrique Gonzales of Eunice, NM, Rosalio Limas of Rincon, NM, Mague Limas of Las Cruces, Susana and Jorge Leyva of Doña Ana, NM, . In 1986 Amelia and her Husband moved to the Rincón/Hatch NM. In 1997 when her husband retired from working in the fields they moved to Eunice, NM. They have 20 Grandchildren and 27 Great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews who loved and will miss him. She was also preceded in death by her husband Ursulo Limas, daughter, Silvia Limas and son, Octavio Limas and her brother Daniel Covarrubias.
