Alice Mckinney

Alice Marie McKinney, 75, of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away March 6, 2014 in Lovington, New Mexico. Alice was born February 4, 1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Herman and Lena Doan. Mrs. McKinney was a homemaker, who was devoted to her husband and children. She was a good cook. She was proud of each one of her family members. She was also devoted to her friends. She enjoyed creating with plastic canvas, and playing card games. Alice loved animals. She wouldnt harm even ants and spiders.

Alice M. Doan McKinney married James O. McKinney February 8, 1957, in Indianapolis. They enjoyed 57 years of marriage.

Mrs. McKinney is survived by her husband James of the home son Stanley wife Wanda McKinney daughters Tina husband Billy Garcia, and Teresa husband Coy Ussery, all of Hobbs six grandchildren numerous greatgrandchildren and five brothers. She is also survived by her special dog, Penny.

Alice was preceded in death by daughter Sarah Rylant in 2010, and one sister.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Joe Cook.
