Alfred Woods

On Thursday July 2, 2020, Alfred Woods, passed away suddenly at the age of 74.  Alfred was born on March 17, 1946 to Fred and Willie Woods in Kermit, TX.  He graduated from Pyote High School in 1964.  He enlisted in the Army in 1967 and was Honorably Discharged in 1971. After his service in the Army he worked in car sales, Ingersoll Rand in Dallas, Wesco Electric, Border State and Commercial Electric until he retired.

Alfred was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Willie Woods, his sister Freyda Griffin and his brother Harold Woods.  He is survived by his brother Bobby Woods and sister in law Neeta Woods.  He is survived by nieces Sherry Griffin, Rhonda Griffin-Brisbin, Janna Griffin, Teresa Johnson and Wendy Woods.  He is also survived by nephews Jesse Griffin and Terry Woods.

In Alfred’s later years he enjoyed riding and repairing Harley Davidsons.  He enjoyed bringing the cycles back to life for a future rider.  He loved the wheeling and dealing of the sale!  He also enjoyed his time at the Hobbs Senior Center.  He loved playing dominos, playing pool and using the computer room.  He had many special friends at the center.
