Alfred Mejorado

A funeral mass for Alfred B. Fred Mejorado will be Friday, June 8, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at St. Helena Catholic Church with Fr. Manuel Ibarra presiding. A Rosary service will be at Chapel of Hope on Thursday evening, June 7 at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will also be on Thursday 8 a.m. 7 p.m. at Chapel of Hope. Fred died June 4, 2012, in Hobbs. He was born March 21, 1938, in Wharton, TX, to Lucio and Theresa Mejorado. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church.

Fred enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife, Audelia, was his soul mate. He enjoyed his grandchildren and family gatherings. Fred took great pride in his auto detail shop. He loved helping people and never met a stranger. Deer hunting was a favorite pastime of his.

Surviving Fred is his wife, Audelia R. Mejorado, of Hobbs two daughters, Alma Garcia, and husband Rick, of Hobbs and Debbie Barron, and husband Sam, of Lubbock, TX four sons, Alfred B Mejorado, Jr. of Hobbs, Ray M. Mejorado, and wife Diane, of Hobbs, Steven M. Mejorado, and wife Margie, of Hobbs and Anthony Mejorado, and wife Cathy, of Seminole, TX two brothers, Abe Mejorado, and wife Eva, of Rosenburg,TX, and Lucio Mejorado, Jr. of Rosenburg, TX two sisters, Lydia Mejorado of Houston, TX, and Esmeralda Trog of Anaheim, CA grandchildren, Lisa Marie Mejorado, Priscilla Trujillo, Jazmin Barron, Angel Barron, Amanda Mejorado, Heather Bishop, Brittany Benberry, Richard Garcia, Marissa Gonzales, McKenzie Garcia, Justin Wise and Guillermo Juarez two greatgrandchildren, Madison Faith Ponce and DuBree St. Claire Mejorado numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Fred in death were his parents, Lucio and Theresa Mejorado, stepmother, Grace Mejorado, two sisters, Theresa Maria Mejorado and Isabella Herrera Duran, and brother Joe Pepe Herrera.
