Alan (aka) Red went to be with our heavenly father on November 30,2019. Alan was born to Joe and Charlotte Kinney in Roswell, NM he and his family moved from Artesia, NM to Hobbs NM in 1973 were his father started his family business Joe's Inspection Service. Alan lived life to the fullest whether it be hunting fishing or being outdoors. He never met a stranger. His love for his family and friends was astonishing. Alan was employed with the family business for over 40 years. He loved the oilfield and loved to carry out his daddy's passion for the family business. Alan had a passion for the outdoors, his sons and grandkids, or riding a Harley down the highway with his beloved wife Karen. If you knew Alan you would know he always had a handy dandy flashlight, knife, and gun on him. He met the love of his life Karen Hudson in Shreveport, La in 1990 later married March 19, 1991. They raised two sons Bruce and Lance Kinney. He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Kinney of Hobbs; his wife, Karen Kinney of Hobbs; his two brothers, Tommy Wallace of Hobbs and Joe L Kinney of Hobbs; his sons, Bruce Kinney, Benton, LA, Lance Kinney (wife) Stefani of Lovington, NM; two nephews, Landon Kinney of Dallas, TX and T.J of Hobbs, NM; several grandkids Ryan, Garrett, Avery, Brooklynn, Allison, Addison, Alan, Kaden, Everett Kinney and best friend Jeff Manry of Hobbs NM.
Alan loved his fur babies Tninicey, Mertle and his forever riding buddy Caine. Alan's infectious smile and laughter will be missed. He was loved by many. Alan was preceded in death by his father, Joe W. Kinney; paternal grandparents, Albert and Essie Mae Kinney of Oak Grove, LA; maternal grandparents, Tom and Kitty Culbertson of Sacramento, NM along with Charlie Shueltz of Sacramento, NM.
