A funeral service for Aileen Thompson of Hobbs, N.M., will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, at Chapel of Hope. Clay Martin, minister, will officiate.
Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel of Hope Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Monday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Wednesday from 8 a.m. till service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thompson, 87, died July 4, 2008, at her home in Hobbs, N.M. She was born Oct. 9, 1920, in Dexter, N.M. She married M.S. Putt Thompson in June, 1938, in Hobbs, N.M.
Aileen had served as past president of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary, past worthy matron of Eastern Star and past mother advisor of the Rainbow Girls. She was a member of the Masonic Widows Club and Jefferson Street Church of Christ.
Survivors include a daughter, Eva Kilman and husband Ron of Hobbs, N.M.; two grandshy;sons, Scott Farley and wife Monica of Wimberly, Texas, and Daniel Farley of Phoenix, Ariz.; two great-grandsons, Ronnie Farley of Phoenix, Ariz., and Evan Farley of Wimberly, Texas; and a sister, Irene Smith of Hobbs, N.M.
Aileen was preceded in death by her parents, James Richard and Essie May Caffall; her husshy;band, M.S. Putt Thompson in 1962: and three sisters.
