A prayer service for Adolfo Fito Ortega, 58, of Hobbs, NM, will be held Wednesday, May 8, 2013, 67:00 p.m. at Chapel of Hope Funeral Home with visitation starting Wednesday, May 8, 2013, from 16 p.m. in Hobbs, NM. Funeral Mass will be on Friday, May 10, 2013, at Our Lady of Fatima, Van Horn, TX, 10:00 a.m. with a visitation from 16 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Carrillo Funeral Home. A rosary will be held from 78 p.m. at Our Lady of Fatima in Van Horn, TX. Interment will follow in Van Horn, TX. Adolfo was born December 8, 1954, in Van Horn, TX. He went to be with the Lord May 3, 2013 in Lubbock, TX.
Adolfo had a sense of humor, never met a stranger and he always worked hard to lend a helping hand. He was a handy man, loving and giving with a very compassionate heart. Adolfo loved music, walks, riding his bicycle and watching movies. But most of all he loved the Lord. He was of the Christian Catholic faith. His family was the love of his life.
He is survived by his mother, Maria J. Ortega of Van Horn, TX three sisters, Elizabeth Carrera, and husband Sergio, of El Centro, CA, Lucy Valdez, and husband Merced, of Hobbs, NM, Benita Lulu Siaosi, of Hobbs, NM six nephews, Mark Aguilar, and wife Tracey, of Hobbs, NM, Isaac Valdez, and wife Lynn, of Sheridan WY, Sergio Carrera Jr. and wife Janett, of El Centro, CA, Phillip Valdez, of Hobbs, NM, Siali Siaosi, of Norman, OK, and Samisoni Soni Siaosi, of Hobbs, NM two nieces, Yesenia Butler, and husband Micah, of El Centro, CA, and Sarah May, and husband Brad, of Hobbs, NM and also by numerous great nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
Adolfo is preceded in death by his father Jesus Alberto Ortega, Sr. and a brother Jesus Alberto Jr.
