Elvira De La Cruz passed away, surrounded by her family on February 10, 2018. Elvira was 77 years old. She was born in Ruidosa, Texas on February 3, 1941. She was the daughter of Enrique Naegele and Albina Alarcon, both whom proceeded her in death. Also proceeding her in death were her brothers and sisters Sofia Gonzalez, Daniel Naegele, Anita Bara, Sara Nunez, Hugo Naegele, and Francisca Martinez. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Miguel De La Cruz, Sr and their children, Miguel De La Cruz and his wife Irene, Benny De La Cruz and his wife Tina, of Hobbs, NM, Diana Cox and her husband Gary of Edgewood, NM, Arthur De La Cruz and his wife Linda of Hobbs, NM, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. Elvira loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a homemaker with a heart of gold, who always welcomed her visitors with freshly homemade food. She also enjoyed going out to the casino with her husband and loved collecting hummingbirds.

    My heart goes out to your family at this sad time. She was a very kind lady and neighbor to Frank. She even brought him delicious tamales!
    Her sweet smile will be missed in the neighborhood!!
